Argument Analysis - Why argue?

My topic selection is "Should the Obama Generation Drop Out?" by Charles Murray.  I selected the Argument Analysis topic because I experienced the changes felt by our country during the Obama rise to President.  I believe Murray clearly argues the need to encourage this Generation Drop Out to consider education as an option.  Education is for all.  However, the process and fear of student loans cause people to back down.  There are community and junior colleges that offer two year programs that can improve a person's position in the marketplace.

How does this generation market itself?  Many do not know the insider information to be successful with education beyond high school because they do not have that culture in their family.  Navigating the system can be troublesome, foreign, and out of reach.  It is is a problem that needs to be addressed by making all education programs more accessible for individuals to be stronger people in career options.

Murray says don't give up.  I agree.  Society, government and stakeholders need to be more aware of how education is interpreted before giving up and saying people are not interested.

There is an interest, but the information is not always realistic to people.

Assignment #4- Revisions

It is really hard transition to review and revise papers.  My thoughts are forming in a certain way; and, when I try to revise the paper it doesn't come our right.  What I mean that it doesn't sound good to me.  It feels like my voice has changed.  Maybe not necessarily my voice, but trying to change my style.  I try be concise.  I think I have tried making changes, but it has been a challenge.

Reflections of a Writer

I don't know.  I am not much of a writer.  I remember writing about this same problem/issue in the beginning.  I am still challenged by blogging.  I still see no relevance in this form of communication in my daily life.  However, I see others use it, but I do not follow a blog.  I do follow current events.

Communicating in the world of blogging is different from my own reading and writing experiences.  I do use technology for forms of research, but I have never read consistently through a blog.  This takes commitment; and my schedule does not allow for consistency sometimes.

I do enjoy the writing assignments.  I have experiences that requires reading and responding to positions.  The advertisement exercise and the short essays allow my writing to become concise and more accurate.  I believe my form of mechanics have improved.  I have a better grasp of extending sentences through other forms of punctuation.  This has been very helpful with my run-on sentences.  I have lots of ideas but it helps to have punctuation.

Please let me know what you think.
